Brad Pitt Slated to Star on 'Moneyball'

Brad Pitt is slated to star as Billy Beane, the A’s general manager for the Oakland Athletics baseball team, on upcoming drama film “Moneyball“. The star was seen working on pre-production of the movie at a studio in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 2.

Moneyball” is a film adaptation from the 2003 book entitled “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game“. Steven Soderbergh is appointed to be the director of the flick. Additionally, Michael De Luca and Rachael Horovitz in association with Columbia Pictures are going be the producers.

“I want it to be really funny and entertaining, and I want you to not realize how much information is being thrown at you because you’re having fun,” Soderbergh says of the movie. Next week, Pitt will start to film it in Anaheim, California.

Recently, Brad Pitt promoted his new film “Inglourious Basterds” during the Cannes Film Festival. At that time, the 45-year-old heartthrob admitted that he had to take care of his six children because girlfriend Angelina Jolie was filming her movie “Salt” in New York City. “Angie’s been working, and I’ve got to be home a lot with the kids. Let me be the cliche — it’s really rewarding,” he previously testified.
