Nashville Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Don Aaron told reporters Monday investigators have determined that Sahel Kazemi, 20, purchased the weapon Thursday night, CNN reported.
An autopsy Sunday determined that McNair, 36, died early Saturday of four gunshot wounds, two to the head and two to the chest. Kazemi died of a gunshot wound to the head and investigators found a semiautomatic pistol near her body.
McNair’s death has been ruled a homicide but Aaron said “the police department is not classifying Kazemi’s death, pending further investigation and interviews with persons who knew her and McNair.” Among those being interviewed is a former boyfriend of Kazemi’s, Aaron said.”
