Shaquille O’Neal and Wife Va’Shaundya Heading For The Divorce Court

NBA great Shaquille O’Neal will soon be battling in a court of a different kind with news that his wife of seven years Va’Shaundya O’Neal has filed for divorce.
The divorce petition filed by Va’Shaundya (also known as “Shaunie”) cites irreconcilable differences as grounds for divorce. Va’Shaundya is seeking custody of the couple’s four children, and spousal support.
Notably the motion for divorce was filed in California, despite Shaquille living in Florida. It’s believed that Va’Shaundya recently moved to California in order to obtain a more favorable divorce settlement.
The pair, who married in 2002, had previously filed for divorce in 2007, but we reported at the time to have reconciled.
