Some of “Gossip Girl” cast were seen filming for the third season in Soho, New York City on Thursday, July 9. Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa in the series, is spotted with summer outfit, clutching a bright yellow bag and heading somewhere. On another scene, Penn Badgley aka Dan is shooting near a limo.

Vanessa will hook up with someone new in the season, someone whom EW’s Michael Ausiello hinted as a person she met briefly at the end of last season. Also, Vanessa will get a new roommate while in college. Hilary Duff guest stars for seven episodes as Olivia Burke who is a movie star seeking an ordinary college life.

Some scoops surrounding the hookups in Upper East Side are sprouting lately. Joanna Garcia from “Privileged” has signed for 4 episode-arc as Nate’s love interest. Hilary’s Olivia is said to catch Dan’s eyes but an on-set photo reveals Penn kissing Blake Lively aka Dan’s old flame Serena in the series.

The third season of “Gossip Girl” kicks off September 18 after “One Tree Hill”.

Contrary to earlier report, Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan are not engaged, Celebuzz claims in a report on its site.

It turns out that a report run by New York Post’s gossip column Page Six last week that Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan were engaged is completely false. Celebuzz claims the engagement story actually was a rumor from six months ago that was recently brought back to life by gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

On June 26, Perez claimed the “Gossip Girl” co-stars and real life lovers announced their engagement on social networking site Facebook.com by changing their relationship status to “engaged”. In fact, several sources have told Celebuzz that neither Leighton nor Sebastian has a Facebook account.

Love life aside, Leighton has tried her hand at singing in addition to acting in small screen. In late April this year, it was confirmed that she has been signed to Universal Republic Records through an agreement with Time-Act Music to release her debut album this fall. She reportedly is receiving help from top notch producers, like Polow Da Don and Harvey Mason Jr., for the record.

Lucky for Penn Badgley, Hilary Duff will be sharing screen with him a lot in the third season.

It was reported by EW that Hilary Duff will be the new face on “Gossip Girl“, but how far her arrival affects the Upper East Siders has just been unveiled. Duff’s character, Olivia Burke, will be hooking up with one of the guys whom she thought is an opposite of her.

EW said that Olivia is a “movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience.” She will be the roommate of Vanessa, which means, she is a student majoring in Drama. However, she brings more than just a connection to Vanessa.

According to E! Online, Olivia is tangled in a romantic relationship with Dan. With the fact that Olivia wants to enjoy an ordinary life away from the limelight, she sees Dan as a simple and non-famous guy who is a perfect date for her. As a twist, Dan has no clue that Olivia is famous. Read more…
